“The camera sees more than the eye, so why not make use of it?” – Edward Weston

Hi, I'm Henry!

Ever since I first held a camera, I’ve been captivated by the way a single frame can freeze a fleeting moment.

Photography, for me, is more than just a hobby - it’s a way of seeing the world. Through the lens, ordinary scenes transform into stories, emotions, and memories I might otherwise forget.

I love how photography demands both patience and spontaneity. It teaches me to slow down, to notice the subtle shifts in light or the expression on someone’s face just before they smile. Whether I’m wandering through a city or hiking through nature, my camera is an extension of how I connect with the world around me.

My Personal Favorites

My Top Three Favorite National Parks

Richmond Park, London, UK

London's largest park. The best way to escape into nature with the added bonus of free roaming herds of wild deer.

Bushy Park, London, UK

With much in common to its very nearby neighbour, Richmond Park. Another place within easy reach of the London metropolitan area where you can loose yourself in nature and which also has herds of free roaming wild deer. The deer here are somewhat more elusive as there are more hiding places!

Arenal Volcano National Park, Costa Rica

Lush tropical vegetation topped landscape featuring an extinct volcano rising into the clouds.

What Photography Means To Me

Photography changed my life

Photography helps me look at the world in a different way. Because of photography, I notice shapes and patterns that nobody else seems to notice, and I want to photograph them! I seem to pick out leading lines, or naturally occurring frames in the landscape, and I often pull out my phone to take a quick snapshot.

I truly believe that photography helps me enjoy my surroundings more. I have a new appreciation for the beauty of the earth, and I love sharing that beauty with others through my photos. More than just an artistic outlet, photography has become a way for me to be present, mindful, and more deeply connected to the world around me.

My favorite Photo

I have a difficult time choosing my favorite photo. It is a similar task to choosing my favorite song, or favorite food. It's not easy.

I find that the photo that might be my favorite today will change by next month, and that is because I tend to get attached to the most recent photos I have taken. With that said, this photo is my favorite this month...haha. By next month I hope I will have taken a new photo that I love even more!

I love my camera deeply—not just as a tool, but as a constant companion in my journey through life.

It's been with me across continents, capturing moments both grand and intimate, giving me the power to freeze time and tell stories through light and perspective. From quiet alleys in old towns to sweeping mountain vistas, it has helped me see the world more clearly and express the way I feel about it.
